By downloading, installing, or using LangYOU, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

LangYOU is a language learning app for iOS that helps you build vocabulary and language skills through: - Reading real books (EPUB and TXT) with tap-to-translate - CEFR-based vocabulary dictionaries (A1–C2 levels) - 9 exercise types: Flashcards, Word Sprint, Mastery Sprint, matching, sentence builder, listening, spelling, context guessing, and AI Compose - Smart spaced repetition (SM-2 algorithm) for long-term retention - AI-powered features: AI Tutor chat, AI Compose with grammar checking, and AI-generated example sentences - Support for 13 interface languages The app works primarily offline. Some features (translations, AI exercises, AI Tutor) require an internet connection.

LangYOU does not require account registration. Your learning data (saved words, sentences, reading progress, and exercise results) is stored locally on your device. You retain ownership of all content you create within the app, including your saved vocabulary, custom sentences, and reading notes. We do not claim any rights over your user-generated content. You are responsible for backing up your data. Deleting the app will remove all locally stored data.

LangYOU offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions to unlock premium features: - Monthly Plan: $5.99/month (auto-renewing) - Yearly Plan: $39.99/year (auto-renewing, best value) Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings (Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions). Prices may vary by region and are subject to change. Any price changes will take effect at the start of the next billing period following notice. All payments are processed by Apple. We do not collect or store your payment information.

LangYOU can be used for free with the following limitations: Free tier includes: - A1-level vocabulary dictionary - Up to 100 saved words - 20 translations per day in the book reader - All 9 exercise types - Spaced repetition for saved words - Book reader functionality Premium subscription unlocks: - All vocabulary dictionaries (A1–C2 CEFR levels) - Unlimited word saving - Unlimited translations in book reader - AI Compose exercise with grammar checking - AI Tutor (personal language assistant) - AI-generated example sentences for every word

You agree not to: - Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app - Attempt to access server infrastructure or APIs beyond normal app usage - Use the app to generate content that is illegal, harmful, or abusive - Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the app or its content - Use automated tools or bots to interact with the app - Circumvent any subscription or access restrictions Violation of these terms may result in termination of your access to the app.

The LangYOU app, including its design, code, AI models, and branding, is owned by Hashlab Digital and protected by intellectual property laws. Vocabulary dictionaries and CEFR-level word lists are curated by Hashlab Digital. You retain full ownership of your user-generated content (saved words, custom sentences, reading notes). We do not use your personal content for training AI models or any other purpose beyond providing the service to you. Books imported by the user remain the property of their respective copyright holders.

LangYOU integrates with the following third-party services: - LibreTranslate — open-source translation API for word and text translations - Tatoeba — open-source database for example sentences - Project Gutenberg — public domain books available in the book reader - Firebase — crash reporting and analytics (anonymous) - Apple StoreKit — subscription and payment management These services have their own terms of use and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content provided by third-party services.

LangYOU is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that: - The app will be error-free or uninterrupted - Translations or AI-generated content will be perfectly accurate - Learning outcomes will meet specific expectations To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hashlab Digital shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app or subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

You may stop using LangYOU at any time by deleting the app from your device. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the app if you violate these terms. In the event of termination, your locally stored data remains on your device, but you may lose access to premium features and cloud services. Active subscriptions can be canceled through your Apple ID settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the app shall be resolved in accordance with applicable law. If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
